Targeting Hex Trees

Based On

It seems like a pretty good idea is to build a gardener bot, send him to a location and then have him build a ring of trees around himself. Leaving one small open gap so that you can keep spawning other bots. The gardener then has plenty of trees to keep up with.

How To Attack This

I think a good idea for combating someone that uses this strategy is to build a small group of scouts and have them work together. They stick in a flock and roam the map. Once they find an enemy tree they don't need to attack it, they need to search around it for any gardeners that may be watering it.

The flock then focuses attack on the gardener until he is killed. If you make them smart enough they will even use the enemy's own trees as cover from anyone else attacking them.

Rinse And Repeat

Once they have killed off the gardener they can log the location for later attacks. Now they don't need to hang around to kill off all the trees. Instead they should move on to find another cluster of enemy trees. By doing this they will slow down the enemy's strategy and force them to keep replacing the gardeners. This flock needs to stay on task for this sole mission and needs to have reinforcements spawned and enlisted in the case that the flock begins to die.
